Six days and five nights in Norway with direct Emirates flights from Dubai to Oslo, internal Scandinavian Airlines flights to Tromso, five nights across Oslo and Tromso with daily breakfast, private airport transfers, a 6-hour Northern Lights chase in Tromso, and a hybrid-electric whale watching cruise. Available in October for 2 adults.
Tromso sits 350 km inside the Arctic Circle and lands at the right latitude for the northern lights. October is early in the aurora season, with long enough dark nights for sightings but still short enough days to feel like autumn in the city. The package covers Emirates flights from Dubai to Oslo (both ways), Scandinavian Airlines between Oslo and Tromso, five hotel nights across three hotels (one night in Oslo on arrival, three nights in Tromso, one night in Oslo on the way out), all airport transfers, and two signature tours: a Mercedes-Benz minibus Northern Lights chase, and a whale watching sail on a hybrid-electric boat heading toward Skjervoy. Priced for 2 adults. Schengen visa applies for most UAE residents and is arranged separately.
International with Emirates: Dubai to Oslo departs 07:30, arrives 12:50. Oslo to Dubai departs 14:35, arrives 23:25. Internal with Scandinavian Airlines: Oslo to Tromso departs 09:10 arriving 11:00; Tromso to Oslo departs 19:10 arriving 21:05.
Clarion Hotel Oslo Airport in a Double Room with breakfast. The airport-side location suits the first night, so the Scandinavian Airlines flight to Tromso the next morning is a short walk from check-out.
The Dock 69 39 By Scandic in a Standard Room with 1 King Bed and breakfast. The hotel sits in central Tromso, within reach of the pickup points for the Northern Lights and whale watching tours.
Radisson Blu Park Hotel Oslo in a Standard Room with breakfast. Oslo-side location for the last night before the Emirates flight home.
Emirates flight from Dubai departing 07:30, arriving Oslo 12:50. Private transfer from Oslo Airport to Clarion Hotel Oslo Airport. Check in and take the evening to adjust to the time change (Oslo is 2 hours behind UAE in October).
Private transfer to Oslo Airport. Scandinavian Airlines flight from Oslo at 09:10, arriving Tromso 11:00 (just under 2 hours flying). Private transfer from Tromso Airport to The Dock 69 39 By Scandic. Afternoon free to walk Tromso harbour and the city centre.
Northern Lights chase in a luxury Mercedes-Benz minibus with a small group. The tour runs flexibly: the guide checks the aurora forecast and the weather and drives to the best viewing spot of the night. Includes a thermal suit, hot chocolate around a fire, and personal photos plus photos by a professional photographer. Tour lasts around 6 hours, depending on weather and aurora activity. Tour runs in all weather; if conditions are poor around Tromso, the guide drives further to clearer skies.
Hybrid-electric whale watching cruise toward Skjervoy. The boat has heated indoor lounges, panoramic windows, multiple decks, Wi-Fi, and complimentary drinking water, with experienced guides on board. Sailing time to the whale areas is 3 to 3.5 hours each way, with 1 to 1.5 hours in the feeding areas. Common sightings depending on the season: orcas, humpbacks, fin whales, and sperm whales. Food and drinks are not included on the boat. Warm winter clothing is essential.
Private transfer to Tromso Airport. Scandinavian Airlines flight from Tromso at 19:10, arriving Oslo 21:05. Private transfer to Radisson Blu Park Hotel Oslo for the last night.
Private transfer to Oslo Airport. Emirates flight from Oslo at 14:35, arriving Dubai 23:25.
Prices and availability may change based on hotel availability and airline pricing at the time of booking. Check airline websites for current travel procedures and visa rules, since these are updated regularly. Passport must be valid for more than six months from the travel date. Schengen visa is required for most UAE residents and needs to be applied for well in advance. Hotel check-in is from 2:00 PM and check-out is by 12:00 PM. Please verify the room type and view with your consultant before confirming the booking. Both tours require warm winter clothing. The Northern Lights chase runs in all weather (the guide drives to a better spot if needed), but aurora sightings cannot be guaranteed. The whale watching cruise sails toward Skjervoy; sightings depend on weather and the season, and food and drinks are not included on the boat. Travel insurance is strongly recommended. The company is not responsible for travelers' personal procedures. Any service not listed above is not part of the package.
Emirates flights Dubai to Oslo, Scandinavian Airlines flights Oslo to Tromso, 5 nights across Clarion Oslo Airport, The Dock 69 39 By Scandic in Tromso, and Radisson Blu Park Oslo with daily breakfast, all private airport transfers, a Northern Lights chase tour in Tromso, and a hybrid-electric whale watching cruise.
No tour can guarantee aurora sightings; the lights depend on solar activity and the weather. The included tour chases the best viewing conditions each night in a Mercedes-Benz minibus with a guide who tracks the forecast. October is the start of the aurora season with growing darkness, which improves chances compared to September.
Warm winter clothing is essential: insulated jacket, waterproof outer layer, thermal base layers, warm hat, gloves, and sturdy waterproof boots. The Northern Lights tour provides a thermal suit on top of your layers. The whale watching boat is cold in the open air even with heated lounges inside.
Norway is in the Schengen area, so a Schengen visa is required for most UAE residents. Apply well in advance of travel. UAE citizens on Emirati passports enter visa-free for up to 90 days within a 180-day period, subject to current Schengen rules.
